Megan Thompson

Dr. Megan Thompson was born & raised in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She grew up visiting her uncle’s Percheron draft horse farm in Youngstown as often as she could, but did not have any formal riding training until college. She would help work “the girls” on the farm and prep them for public events. Megan graduated from University of Findlay with a Bachelors in Science in 2009. She would later earn a Master’s of Science from University of Findlay in 2017 and a Master’s of Science from Lincoln Memorial University in 2019. Megan then attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University and graduated in May of 2023.

Megan got her clinical introduction during summers and college semester breaks working with Dr. Genovese as one of the countless young veterinarians he would train at Randall Veterinary Hospital and later Dr. Brett Berthold with Cleveland Equine Clinic. It was her clinical horse experiences that solidified her interests in equine practice. She is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). Megan’s professional interests include lameness evaluation and imaging as well as being a good teammate and helping where needed. Megan is proud to be working with a team of exceptional veterinarians providing care for clients and patients. Megan enjoys spending time with her family, Cleveland baseball games, swimming, crocheting, pyrography, and travelling.
