Dr. Sean Allison grew up in Bainbridge, Ohio located only 25 minutes from Cleveland Equine Clinic. He grew up in the family hunter and jumper business working at the training and boarding stable. His father, Dr. Thomas Allison, an equine veterinarian himself, only deepened his love of horses.
He began working as a student under Dr. Ronald Genovese in high school which continued all throughout college. During that time Dr. Genovese and Dr. Brett Berthold became very important mentors and along with his father encouraged his passion for veterinary medicine.
In 2007 he graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following graduation he was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine located in St. Kitts where he graduated in 2011 after completing his clinical year at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Sean has multiple interests including sport horse medicine, racetrack medicine, and respiratory medicine. He is currently a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the North American Association of Racetrack Veterinarians.
