No, you don’t need to have a referral to be seen by us. We see any horse whether it has been referred to us by another vet or is coming to us as their primary vet.

If your horse is coming to us for an overnight stay you don’t need to bring anything unless you want them to have blankets or a specific feed. We do ask that you leave a halter on your horse however we will provide a lead rope. We prefer that you don’t leave anything of value as we would hate for anything to go missing.

Must have a coggins within six months. Physical exam must be done by one of our veterinarians. These take up to one week to be completed so please plan ahead.

Many times, horses receive their spring vaccines and then a booster of flu/rhino during the fall. Because these two diseases are communicable it is important in barns where there is a lot of “in and out” or showing.

Not at this time. However, we are equipped to handle medical cases and we will refer surgical candidates. 

Typically, horses should have their teeth examined once a year and then floated at that time. Older horses and horses with ongoing dental issues may require more frequent examinations. 

16-18 hours. If the horse is known to eat bedding it is always a good idea to use a muzzle as sawdust that is ingested can inhibit gastroscopy.
